New Creative Aberdeenshire Network Investment

We have been busy here at Live Life Aberdeenshire, and are delighted to share the news that we have invested in ten projects that successfully applied for a Creative Aberdeenshire Network package. Over £21,000 will support both the creative sector and their communities across Aberdeenshire, with new opportunities all designed, in their unique way, to increase confidence, be part of a wider network of creative places and create an authentic Aberdeenshire cultural identity.

It is hoped that these initiatives will lead to long-term, artist-led collaborations, creative community ownership and a strong and diverse culture of creativity in the North East.

After a series of events, including in-person meetings and online listening circles, our continued conversations with our creative communities have identified four key ambitions:

• Creative community - a way for our communities to feel part of one connected network
• Sense of place - for communities to identify their authentic cultural offering
• Opportunities to share - people purposefully coming together to celebrate community creativity
• Space to connect - a transparent, accessible way for creative communities to work together

So, as a starting point to support and address these ambitions, we are excited to introduce these new creative partnerships...
