Cold water swimming available at Stonehaven Open Air Pool

After a successful four weeks at the end of 2024, we are excited to re-start our cold water swimming from the 25th January. Days and times of the sessions may vary as we try to find the very best times for customers.

Booking and Paying

These are cashless sessions so they must be booked in advance on our app or sports booking system. The 20 minute sessions cost £5.97 (age related and low income concessions are available) and are available for customers aged 16 plus. Our team at the leisure centre can help you book in if needed. Please speak to a staff member on arrival if you wish to stay longer than 20 minutes.

Session Information

The average water temperature will fluctuate. So far it's been around 2, 6 and 8 degrees. However there are no boilers on so this will fluctuate with the outside temperatures. 

Swimsuits, swim shorts and wet suits are needed for your swim and you will need to leave a towel or a dry robe at poolside for when you come out the water.

Please note, there is no water in our main building but your entry fee covers access to changing rooms and showers at the leisure centre, a 2 minute walk away.
