Which club did you start your sporting journey with?

Broch Surf Club.

What has been your biggest challenge in your sporting journey, and how did you overcome this?

My biggest challenge has been building up my confidence in bigger, scarier waves. I worked to overcome this by building up my fitness and developing my technique.

What are your goals for the coming year?

I'd like to win the Scottish Junior Surf Series and compete again for Scotland.

What does your training programme involve, and does this impact on other areas of your life?

My training programme mainly revolves around surfing as much as possible, but I compliment this with strength and mobility training. I'm fortunate to be able to balance this with my school work.

Agility and good judgement.

How many competitions do you plan to compete in?

Eight or more in the coming year.

Who is your biggest inspiration from the world of sport?

John John Florence.

What is your greatest achievement in your sport?

Having been selected to surf for Scotland at the 2024 European Junior Championships in Portugal.

What helps you to stay motivated and focussed during your training?

Seeing continued and sustained progress in my surfing.

What advice would you give to others just starting out in any sport?

Make sure that you do it for the enjoyment and not just the competitive element.

How will your Talented Athlete Pass help you develop and hone your skills as an athlete?

It'll allow me to access the facilities to develop my fitness and endurance that are important to surfing.

Is there anywhere people could find more information about your upcoming sporting activity? (Facebook, Website / Twitter)

Scottish Surfing Federation.
