Sport for Change Funding

Live Life Aberdeenshire have committed a total of £30,000 of Positive Action Grant Funding to be
used to support Hubs, Clubs and Community and 3rd sector organisations across Aberdeenshire to
support projects that will introduce new activities which tackle local need.

This year 2024/25, we are inviting applications that will support projects targeting Mental Health and/or Disability and inclusion. We’re also really interested in projects which look beyond main town boundaries and engage smaller & rural communities. For more information, please view our Mental Health and Wellbeing context guide.

Successful applications should be ready to start by Autumn at the latest, and the funded element
must not go beyond March 2025.

All applicants must agree to provide update reports to us on a regular basis, this must include the
following:

  • Progress
  • Total participation (broken down into age group / Gender/ Postcodes)
  • Pictures / videos
  • Quotes

To develop a network of support, we will be looking to bring together a key representative from each
hub / club, to meet with an Aberdeenshire steering group, which will be led by hub officers to build a
support network that extends out with existing areas of work.

Funding will be awarded to groups who are able to demonstrate a readiness to work in collaboration
with others, and to share experiences for the benefit of all involved. Funding can be used to support
direct delivery, community engagement, equipment, training, transport and venue costs, however
other associated costs can be considered as they are presented in the theory of change form.
