Our learning to ride programme, Balance to Pedal, provides a safe and gentle introduction to cycling and is aimed at children who would like to progress from a balance bike to riding a pedal cycle. This Autumn we have a selection of taster sessions available:
All bikes are provided and have been checked by our qualified mechanic so there's no need for children to bring their own balance bike or early pedal bike. Helmets will also be provided.
Only children taking part need to book a place but an adult must remain with children booked into our pre-school session. Children in P4-P7 can be left at the session, however parents must return ahead of the end of the session.
These sessions are an introduction to our Balance to Pedal programme, which will be rolled out across venues later this year. During these taster sessions our coaches will help your child increase their confidence on a balance bike or early pedal bike, while our full programme of four or five, 30 minute sessions is designed to fully assist with that transition.
Please note: These half hour holiday sessions are an introduction to our pending venue based programme. The full programme will work towards the transition to using pedals over a four week block. Whilst we can't guarantee in one half hour session that we will achieve a full transition to using pedals, we can ensure a safe and fun experience. Details of these future sessions, and Discovering Cycling sessions, will be made available shortly.
Book your sessions using your child's account details. If you attempt to book while logged in as an adult, the session will appear to be full. Your child must be registered with our booking system to make a booking. New customers can register here: New Customer Registration.
