LLA operates both Alford Ski Centre and Huntly Nordic and Outdoor Centre, which specialises in cross country skiing.
Both facilities reopen to the public using pre-booked sessions this Saturday (August 1), with a range of measures to keep customers and staff safe.
The Alford facility will offer both downhill skiing on its dry slope, and tubing, a fun activity for all the family.
Up to three family bubbles of four people each will be allowed on the ski slope at any one time at a flat rate of £20 per group (£10 without equipment hire).
Anyone booking for skiing in a public session at Alford should be competent (able to link turns), as beginners’ lessons are not yet available.
Huntly Nordic and Outdoor Centre is offering cross country skiing on its all-year surfaces as well as tubing, and a variety of exciting outdoor activities.
Lessons and instructor-led family sessions may be available at Huntly – please contact the facility direct to discuss requirements.
Bookings can be taken for visits to both facilities from 9am on Thursday (July 30).
All sessions will operate within government guidelines (as both individual or family bubbles), for more information contact the ski centre directly or via their Facebook pages.
All participants will be required to provide their contact details to allow contact tracing.
Hire equipment such as skis, boots and tubes will be cleaned and quarantined for 72 hours after each session, though customers can use their own equipment and must bring their own helmet for all activities.
A colour coded system will ensure that tubes and tows will be used by separate groups.
There will be no access to indoor changing, refreshment or toilet facilities but public toilets are available in Huntly and Alford. See locations of public toilets
Booking and payment must be made online before your visit and more information
will be sent by email when a booking is confirmed.
You can contact the centres by phone or email with any queries.
