Local Recognition for Active Schools Volunteer

In celebrating Role Models month, we would like to celebrate the achievements of our hockey coaches and volunteers.

Fred Dick was recently nominated for the Jack Fraser Volunteer of the Year Award. This prize is awarded to recognise a volunteer from North and Highland District for the time and effort they have committed to Scottish Hockey.
Although Fred did not win the prize his efforts were recognised by Scottish Hockey and was awarded with a Byte SX stick bag. A great achievement and well deserved for being heavily involved in the running of Active Schools hockey sessions in Peterhead, Mintlaw and Ellon.

Although Fred gets the headlines on this occasion, he would be the first to commend the support and efforts of his fellow volunteers, Duncan, Jack, Fiona, Lauren, Laura and Callum.
