To raise awareness during National Glaucoma Week the International Glaucoma Association delivered talks in Banff, Turriff, Fraserburgh, Ellon and Westhill libraries earlier this month. During the talks people had the opportunity to ask questions about the condition in an informal, friendly, relaxed setting. Feedback was very positive where one lady stated it was nice to have someone to talk to about her condition as she gets flustered at medical appointments. Others said it was really good to be able to talk to others going through the same thing.
Further talks are being planning for later in the year in other libraries across Aberdeenshire.
