In 2024–2025, Live Life Aberdeenshire continued to strengthen its impact across communities, delivering high-quality cultural, leisure and wellbeing services while improving efficiency and sustainability.
We welcomed 2.98 million physical visits — up by over 200,000 from the previous year — and saw a 23.7% rise in paid memberships. Our commitment to greener services led to a 16% reduction in emissions and £600,000 in cost savings, with the subsidy per head down by 55p.
From Scotland’s largest swimming lesson programme delivering 9,000 lessons weekly, to over 4,800 participants in Live Life Well classes and 44 community organisations supported by grants, our reach continues to grow.
We’ve invested over £6 million in our facilities, including upgrades to leisure centres and the Sir Arthur Grant Centre, and delivered 2,101 “Bringing the Bike to You” sessions, ensuring health and activity are accessible to all.
With strong digital engagement — 1.29 million webpage visits and a 17.76% rise in app downloads — and volunteer support driving over 95% of Active Schools programmes, it’s been a year of real community-powered success.
