Pupils from Aboyne, Banchory, Banff, Ellon, Kemnay and Mackie Academies were asked to recommend one book or more for the Summer Reading initiative. Here is the list of the books compiled, which are available in various formats and can be reserved through our Library Catalogue or via the Digital Library.

Especially for primary aged children. You will not need any complicated equipment or ingredient for these science experiments. Completing one will mean you get to mark off a circle on your collector's card. These have been provided by Community Learning and Development.
Cheer up your friends and loved ones by sending them a virtual postcard to let them know what you have been getting up to this Summer. The postcards were designed by our Summer Reading 2020 creative competition winners.
Story Trails across Aberdeenshire created by NHSG Aberdeenshire Children's Speech & Language Therapy Service. Runs from the 21st June and running until the 16th August. The stories this year are the Three Little Pigs, Little Red Riding Hood and The Gingerbread Man. Each one has a QR code to a signed story and then there are activities, story sequences and take-home activities, all relevant to the story theme. Visit their Facebook page for further information
