The theme for our next block of Knowledge Exchange Café talks is climate and our environment. Along with NESCAN (North East Scotland Climate Action Group) we have a fantastic programme of cafes lined up for you.
Comments received from people who attended cafe talks include:
"The session has given me an insight into how I can save money and help the environment at the same time! I had no idea that I could get hair straighteners repaired locally, I would usually just buy new ones. Thank you." Circular Economy talk at Inverurie library in June.
"It was a great talk, especially finding out new knowledge about seeds. This was very relatable...gave me an insight into growing my own food and how I could learn from those who volunteer at community allotments, I will definitely be looking into this." Food for Thought talk at Peterhead library in August.
If you enjoy taking part in discussions and stimulating conversation our Knowledge Exchange Cafes are the place to be. The talks are led by specialists who talk about their topic of expertise and then present to you questions which leads to discussion and conversation.
Our cafes take place in person or online. If you attend in person, you will find the space set up with tables and chairs cafe style, so you will be sitting in small groups. Of course, you can’t have a cafe without coffee therefore you can enjoy a hot drink whilst debate, discuss and deliberate.
