Housebound Library Service

This service is available to all residents of Aberdeenshire who are unable to visit their library due to:

Disability, infirmity, illness or being the carer of someone affected by these conditions.

This may be short term, such as recovering from a stay in hospital, or a longer-term arrangement.

What can I borrow?

You can borrow up to 15 books and a maximum of 5 talking books, music CDs and DVDs from a wide selection of stock in the library which is available in a variety of formats e.g. books available in hardback, paperback and large print, Audio books on CD or DVDs.

A collection of items is made up to suit your needs then we will contact you to arrange a suitable time to make your first delivery.  The collection and delivery of items will then be on that day and approximate time every 4 weeks and there is no charge for this service.

How do I apply?

Once your completed application form has been received by library staff, they will be in touch to arrange your first delivery.
