Given the lockdown restrictions imposed on Aberdeen City in relation to Covid-19, Live Life Aberdeenshire is currently unable to accept bookings for activities due to take place before Thursday 13th August, from those living within the restricted area.
We hope you will understand this approach is taken with the safety of staff, customers and the community in mind and we look forward to welcoming customers from Aberdeen City again as soon as that is possible. If you already have a booking, please contact the venue directly and our team will be happy to assist you to rebook for a future date or make other arrangements.
Our booking system allows you to collect reservations, order pre-selected library book bundles containing 10 items, pick up reading group collections, arrange a drop of your current loans and also pick up hearing aid batteries.
Depending on the level of demand and use, it is expected that the Click and Collect service will then be rolled out to libraries in other communities.
You'll need to be a member of the library service to order books bundles or place reservations. If you're not a member you can Join the library here!

Once you have placed your reservation the system will prompt you to you to book a 15-minute pick up slot so you can pick up your books but maintain physical distancing. (Please book a slot at least 24 hours from the time you placed your reservation to give staff enough time to process your request - Thank you.)
Library staff are happy to pick some books for you. Choose from a pre-selected set of book bundles including Fiction, Non-Fiction, Summer Reading Challenge and Audio book bundles. As part of the Bookbug programme, all babies should receive a free Bookbug bag before they are 3 months old, then a Bookbug Toddler bag when they are around 12-15 months old. The bags contain books and other resources to enable families to share stories with their children from as early an age as possible. Health Visitors usually gift these bags.
