Booking a PC Slot Online

Decide if you wish to use a PC with a document scanner or without and then choose the corresponding button at the top of this page. Time slots are 60 minutes in length but you may only use the PC for 45 minutes during this single time slot.

However, you may book more than one slot at a time if you wish to use the PC for longer than 45 minutes.

The booking system will ask you for your borrower number once you've chosen your PC time slot and confirmed your details. If you are not a member of the library you can join the library here, alternatively you can ask library staff to give you a temporary guest account. However, if you intend to use our guest account you must bring along a valid form of ID, such as a drivers license.

Logging onto the PC

Please always wear a face covering when you are in the library and using the PC. If you show any symptoms of COVID-19, please do not book this service.

When you arrive in the library, a member of staff will ask you for your name and borrower number, they will then direct you to your computer.

Use your borrower number and PIN to logon to the PC just as you did before the lock down. Once logged on to network the computer will function as normal allowing you to access the internet and email; as well as software packages such as Microsoft Office. You will be permitted to print files and documents but please ensure you bring loose change with you as we will not be able to give you any change. Scanning can also be performed but in order to do so you must book one of the PCs marked as “Public PC with Scanner”

You will not be permitted to browse the books within the library during your PC session.

None of the participating libraries will have any toilet facilities.

Please try and arrive on time and vacate the PC as soon as your session has ended in order to give staff time to clean the PC hardware in readiness for the next PC user.

If you wish to cancel your booking, please go to the “Cancel my booking” button at the bottom of your notification email. Alternatively, give us a call on the number below and we will cancel the booking for you.
