Library Innovation Network Aberdeenshire (LINA)

New co-working spaces and workshops added

The Library Innovation Network Aberdeenshire (LINA), which has been developed in partnership between Live Life Aberdeenshire and RGU, is continuing to grow with new locations added.

Fraserburgh and Macduff libraries have joined Banff and Peterhead to become home to this exciting and innovative project which aims to support entrepreneurship. Along with all the facilities on offer we have a series of bookable one-day workshops taking place in various locations across the area.

One-Day Business Workshops

For those interested in starting a business or scaling an existing business the one day, standalone workshop will help develop your entrepreneurial skills. The workshops will focus on the knowledge and mindset needed to accelerate your ideas, providing you with a toolkit of skills from marketing and viability to pricing and problem solving. The day includes interactive learning, some previous case studies and will focus on the following topics:

  • Defining your purpose, ambition and mindset.
  • Creating a Value Proposition and how to use it.
  • What is a Business Model Canvas and how to develop yours.
  • Creating compelling stories for customers (marketing).
  • Ensuring your idea is desirable, feasible and viable for success.
  • Defining your income, costs and pricing.
  • Using design thinking to solve problems.

LINA Workspace

Our dedicated LINA workspace can be used independently whenever the library is open. Along with a host of reference material and People’s Network computers we are excited to announce our latest technological addition, our 3Dprinting service available in both Banff and Peterhead. There will also be a LINA representative on site whenever a course is running.
