Aberdeenshire's YMI programme, in partnership with Creative Scotland, creates access to high-quality music-making opportunities for young people aged 0-25 years, particularly for those that would not normally have the chance to participate.
We enable young people to achieve their potential in or through music making, and support the development of the youth music sector for the benefit of our young people.
Further information can be found here Creative Scotland or email our Youth Music Initiative Coordinator at:
In the summer of 2019, our Music and Sound Pathways Project gave young people the opportunity to make and record music and learn about other aspects of the music industry, such as designing album covers, photography and videography. All the musicians recorded a cd and 2019's recording can be found on Spotify, along with recordings from previous years.
