Relive the story of Aberdeenshire’s colourful farming past in a unique, semi-circular home farm steading built around 1800. Visit the Russell Collection and learn about the Russell family who owned the Aden estate from the mid eighteenth century. The collection of photographs and paintings gives an insight into life in the ‘big hoose’ on this glorious estate.

The Museum has a Recognised Collection of National Significance awarded by Museums Galleries Scotland which celebrates, promotes and invests in nationally significant museum and gallery collections throughout the country. Enjoy the beautiful setting of Aden Country Park with woodland walks, a delightful Victorian arboretum and a well-equipped play park.
