About the Classes

All Facebook Live classes will be a maximum of 30 minutes and require no equipment other than mat and/or a stable chair to use for sitting or for balance if needed.

It is important you read the following statements prior to participating in the class.

 

Participation Statement 

By choosing to participate in the Live Life Aberdeenshire Facebook Live physical activity session the participant accepts that they undertake and engage in the session without supervision at their own risk.

Participants accept that Live Life Aberdeenshire is not liable for any injury or harm that is sustained as a direct result of the sport and physical activity session. Participants are encouraged to exercise common sense and always seek the guidance of a medical professional before undertaking any form of online sport and physical activity.

 

Safety Checklist

  •  Please remember to only exercise if you are feeling well and able to take part. Stop if you feel unwell at all during the exercise; feeling dizzy, have chest pain, feel sick, feel unusual bone or muscle pain
  • Please have medication to hand (eg inhalers or chest pain sprays)
  • Wear comfortable, flat shoes even if this is in the house to support your feet and balance
  • Always complete a warm-up before doing any exercise, particularly if you have been sitting for a period of time beforehand
  • Ensure your space is clear and suitable for exercising at home, the floor space is clear and free of trip hazards like cables or the corners of rugs
  • Keep water nearby and drink before, during and after exercise to prevent dehydration and ensure the room is adequately ventilated during hot weather
  • Please work at your own pace
  • You should be mindful of exercising alone in your home and if alone we would recommend you let someone know you are participating for safety
