We are now able to offer customers the opportunity to browse the bookshelves at selected libraries across Aberdeenshire. Please be aware there is a limit to the number of customers allowed in the building at one time so you may be asked to wait if we have reached our capacity.
In line with government guidance you must wear a face covering or have a legitimate reason for not wearing a mask.
Please use the sanitiser stations as you enter the library and check in via Test and Protect. We do ask that you keep the handling of the books to a minimum where possible and sanitise your hands while moving between the shelves. You will now also be able to sit, read and study as well and use the Public Access PC's and photocopier.
Local Studies at Library Headquarters in Oldmeldrum is now open for research into local interest and family history by appointment only between 10am -1pm and 3pm – 5pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Find out more and book a session: Book to Research
To save queues forming around our issue desks, we encourage you to use our self service points (please remember to bring your library card), or the Spydus App to check out your books. Remember you can use the app to place reservations and extend your load period.
Our short video guide to shows you how to use the app to check out your items.
You can download the app from your app store by searching for Spydus.
The first time you use it you'll be asked to select your Library service from a list. Choose Aberdeenshire Libraries and on the next screen choose Login.
